The Path to Achieving Success!

The services provided by CAMP are varied and have the function of helping students make the transition from high school to a college environment, as well as to assure the successful completion through their freshman year. The program offers a stipend of up to $1,300.00 ($650.00 per semester). Through CAMP, participants will be able to register prior to the beginning of the semester, in order for them to take the required courses and avoid hindering their path towards graduation.

Also, a CAMP academic advisor will meet with each student at least once a month to monitor his or her academic progress and identify potential educational milestones. In addition, CAMP will work closely with students to fulfill their educational, professional, and personal needs by hosting career development, orientation and study skills, as well as finance and budgeting workshops; assisting with the FAFSA and scholarship processes, and seeking housing; and offering personal counseling.

Similarly, CAMP provides students with computer lab access (in Lighty Student Services Building) and free tutoring in various disciplines and fields of study. Most of all, CAMP participants will be invited to attend student gatherings and social events allowing them to build a community network.
